Information for Attorneys:

• Individual client consulting and litigation support—We can work with your client to help them formulate and understand workable financial settlement proposals in conjunction with the service that you provide to them. We are engaged directly by the individual client and a retainer, based on complexity, is required. Work is billed against the retainer at $200 per hour.
  
• Pension valuation—We can value pensions in accord with Colorado case law for a flat fee of $350 per pension. This fee includes revisions necessitated by changes in benefits or interest rates. Court testimony regarding the valuation is billed in addition to the flat valuation fee at $200 per hour for preparation and court time. You may obtain a fax form to request valuations from our office (719-533-1565) or use this form to request a pension online. You’ll need a password to use this form on the website, which can be obtained from Paulette at our office number above.
  
• Mediation—Linda Leitz is a certified mediator, having completed the 40 hour training and has well in excess of the minimum 100 hours of supervised mediations. The first two hours of mediation cost a total of $300. Additional work and meetings are billed at $200 per hour. The standard mediation ethics are in our contract and do not allow us to work with a client or consult on their case if the mediation is terminated.
  
• Retirement asset transfer—Through our related company, Pinnacle Financial Concepts, Inc., we assist clients after the divorce in transferring retirement assets. Using the court documents, we interface with the asset trustees to move the assets where the non-participant spouse can best control and benefit from the funds. This work is done for $200 per hour.
  
• Litigation support and research—As an attorney, you can engage us to consult directly with you on general financial issues or the financial issues of a specific case. All work and consultations are billed at $200 per hour. The client relationship is directly with you and generally no retainer is required.
  
• Expert witness testimony—We are available to testify and present exhibits in court. Preparation and court time are billed at $200 per hour. This testimony can be to support a proposal for your client or as a rebuttal witness. See the link above for vitas.
